A disease where the ribs collapse on top of the stomach, which afflicts people who are run-down. \u00d3 D\u00f3naill&#8217;s dictionary translates cl\u00e9ith\u00edn as &#8216;ensiform cartilage,&#8217; which medical dictionaries prefer to call &#8216;xiphoid process,&#8217; a form of cartilage at the lower end of the sternum. On the other hand, Prof. Tom\u00e1s \u00d3 M\u00e1ille&#8217;s compendium of terminology from Conamara, An B\u00e9al Beo, describes cl\u00e9ith\u00edn as a &#8216;tinneas br\u00e9ige&#8217; &#8211; a phony disease. &#8216;Bh\u00edodh ceann na heasna iompaithe isteach, m\u00e1 b&#8217;fh\u00edor.
